Spoke too soon - again!

The weather is turning nasty for the next few days so I decided to grab a weather window and head along the coast to get a little nearer to St Petersburg.  I sent the girls an email explaining that there was a change of plan and instead of meeting them with the boat outside baggage reclaim in Helsinki I'd be 25 miles away and they'd have to take a train to find me.  At 11.00 hours I fired up the engine, cast off and headed out of the harbour.  Five minutes later the alarm started screaming at me again.  The engine was b***** well overheating.  But I'd cured that!  Why was it doing it again?

Back in harbour folks were surprised to see me.  This was becoming a habit.  I spent the next SEVEN hours with Harry off one of the other CA Rally boats dismantling the cooling and exhaust systems, cleaning them out because they appeared to be blocked and reassembling them.  Did it make any difference.  No, it damn well didn't!  My crew arrive tomorrow!  If I don't get this sorted out they will not be pleased, and nor will I.  So we're starting again in the morning.  Problem is the local Volvo agent is closing down in the summer and has already laid off ALL its engineers.

And to cap it all, it was my birthday today, my 70th!
